Festival overview:
Celebration of the river we call home at our annual Mid Mad Fest. Rain or Shine. Join us to paddle, eat and dance.
Who is this Fest for?
Whitewater paddlers of all abilities. We have an event for everyone.
On-water activities
- Madawaska Rafting (call to book)
- Ball Race (Bridge to Swimmer’s Rock)
- Beginner Slalom Race – Racers Meeting at MKC Sign at 1pm – Gear available to rent for $10 cash)
- Ich Bin Der Beste
- Mud Bay Star
Off-water activities
- Closing River Ceremony at Chalet Rapids delivered by Waaseyaa Consulting and an Algonquin Elder to do a “Thank you, River, for the season of learning and play” – No alcohol allowed

Festival Location
On the mighty Middle Madawaska section of the Madawaska River (Madaoueskasibi in Algonquin). Camping, food and live music hosted at the Madawaska Kanu Centre’s magical wilderness lodge.
